We’ll soon be inviting the newest residents of Little Kelham to come together to discuss an important aspect of their new homes.
The families who have recently moved into the garden houses on Baker’s Yard will be able to decide how best to plant the green space outside their homes.
Each home on Baker’s Yard has its own private terrace, but there is also a raised communal green space for all residents on the street to share and enjoy together.
The grass on the communal garden was laid before Christmas, but now it is up to the residents to decide together what they want in the planters which will form key parts of the space.
Vegetables, flowers, shrubs or herbs, the residents can choose what they’ll be enjoying for months and years to come.
The communal garden is just one way Little Kelham encourages people to live as a community and get to know their neighbours. The private terraces allow residents to have a secluded spot, but the large communal space will no doubt be a great place to relax, play, socialise and partake in a bit of gardening.
